The Mosaic Mentorship provides BIPOC youth ages 18-29 with mentorship, training and paid work experience working on set of the feature films, commercials and photoshoots.

The Details

Mentees can apply to receive mentorship and work experience in one of the following departments.

  • Production Management Department (Mentor: Assistant Director)

  • Art Department (Mentor: Production Designer)

  • Costumes (Mentor: Costume Designer)

  • Makeup (Mentor: Key Hair and Makeup)

  • Camera Department (Mentor: Director of Photography)

Productions will take place on location in Toronto and surrounding areas where mentees will be provided with food and accommodation.

Prior to production, participants will receive preliminary training, meet their heads of departments and be engaged in the pre-production process. After working the production, participants will receive support with career mentorship and planning their next steps.

Outside of working directly with the keys of their respective departments, mentees will have a consistent workshop facilitator and coordinator in Anna Daliza, a trans woman, writer and educator. Anna will facilitate the workshops, coordinate placements and support mentees in making the most of their mentorship experience.
